<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which allows a user to easily confirm a focusing state of the subject to be in focus and a composition of the whole image to be photographed. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (100) includes an imaging unit (120) configured to output image information, an operation section (200) configured to receive a user's instruction to perform a focus operation, a display unit (170) configured to display an image based on image information, and a controller (150) configured to control a display operation of the display unit (170). When the operation section (200) receives the instruction to perform the focus operation while the display unit (170) is displaying an image, the controller (150) controls the display unit (170) to switch the display on the display unit (170) from an image currently displayed to an enlarged image of a focus area (301) in the image currently displayed. When a predetermined condition is satisfied after completion of the focus operation, the controller (150) further controls the display unit (170) to switch the display on the display unit (170) from the enlarged image to an image with the same angle of view as that of the image displayed before the enlarged image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
