COLORING COMPOSITION, COLOR FILTER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ORGANIC EL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a coloring composition which is capable of providing a pixel for a color filter having excellent transmittance (luminance) and contrast and satisfies heat resistance required in a color display manufacturing step; a color filter excellent in color purity of a blue pixel and transmittance by using such a coloring composition; and an organic EL display device and a liquid crystal display device achieving both high color reproducibility and high luminance by using such a color filter.

SOLUTION: There is provided a coloring composition containing a color material (A), a solvent (B), a binder resin (C), a compound represented by the following formula (I) as the color material (A) and a copper phthalocyanine pigment and/or a dioxazine pigment. Z-A+(I)(where Z-represents a disulfonylimide anion and A+represents a cationic dye.)
