<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus allowing prevention of image deterioration caused by a phase shift of echo signals. <P>SOLUTION: In this magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, an execution part executes a first pre-scan and a second pre-scan, each being a pre-scan in which a reading-out gradient magnetic field and a slice direction gradient magnetic field are applied in an identical manner to a main-scanning pulse sequence and in which a phase encoding gradient magnetic field is applied in an identical manner to the main-scanning pulse sequence up to just before echoes used for calculating a correction amount, and each having different prescribed imaging parameters. A calculation part calculates, as a correction amount, the amount of the phase shift from phase differences present in a plurality of echo signals collected during the first pre-scan and the second pre-scan. A correction part corrects the main-scanning pulse sequence based on the correction amount calculated by the calculation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
