<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid-filled type vibration damping device having a novel structure and a method for manufacturing the device capable of improving the accuracy of the coaxiality and parallelism of a base fitting and a tubular fitting while securing sealing performance in a fitted fixation portion of a base metal fitting and a tubular metal fitting. <P>SOLUTION: A tubular metal fitting 36 is axially extended outward than a sealing portion 144 by sealing rubber 148 in a fitted fixation portion 128, and a caulking tube 146 is formed. On the other hand, positioning projections 130, 132 are formed in the portion of a base metal fitting 102 in which the caulking tube 146 is externally fitted. A diameter reduction amount of the tubular metal fitting 36 in the sealing portion 144 is regulated by the contact of the caulking tube 146 on outer circumferential faces of the positioning projections 130, 132, and thereby defining a radial positioning portion. The caulking tube 146 is reduced in diameter, and locked with axial edges 134, 136 of the positioning projections 130, 132, and thereby defining an axial positioning portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
