PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for preventing a user from overlooking a necessary message which the user is to be notified of in a bulletin board function of a compound machine.

SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus constitutes an authentication application to execute a processing related to an authentication to be installed and displays an message stored in the image processing apparatus on a screen of the authentication application. When it is determined that the message is to be displayed after the execution of processing the authentication, the image processing apparatus displays the message even after the execution of processing the authentication.
