PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-type golf club having a head structure to improve repulsion performance as well as the weight reduction and strengthening of a face part, and to cause less variation in carry even if a hitting point blur is caused in a tow-heel direction.
SOLUTION: The face part 6 of the iron-type golf club has a thickest part 10 on a tow side rather than a central position C of an effective hitting point area W, and a rib 12 extending from the thickest part 10 toward the heel side is formed on the back side of the face part 6. A cross section of the rib 12 is decreased from the thickest part 10 toward the heel side.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
