<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a gap between an estimated position and an actual position in a navigation device which performs route guidance by estimating a position of a user on a recommended route. <P>SOLUTION: In a navigation device, route guidance means 29 performs route guidance using map data as well as recommended route data provided by a navigation server 10. In an underground mall, position estimation means 29a estimates a current position based on a count value of a movement sensor 22b such as a pedometer. Then, the navigation device: displays a message, when the estimated current position reaches a position of a predetermined facility, requesting a user to confirm whether or not the facility exists; displays the message, when receiving an answer that the facility does not exist, requesting the user to press a confirmation button when the user reaches the facility; and corrects the estimated current position to the position of the facility when the confirmation button is pressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
