<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve directivity of a loudspeaker. <P>SOLUTION: The loudspeaker device has a number-of-people detection part 110, a frequency setting part 120, a modulation part 130, and a parametric speaker 140. Modulation signals obtained by modulating audio signals to an ultrasonic wave band are inputted to the parametric speaker 140. The number-of-people detection part 110 detects the number of people at a position around the loudspeaker device. The frequency setting part 120 sets a frequency of the modulation signals on the basis of the number of people detected by the number-of-people detection part 110. The modulation part 130 creates the modulation signals at a frequency set by the frequency setting part 120.
