<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device which is superior in storage characteristics and high voltage cycle characteristics at a high temperature and also to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte used for the electrochemical device. <P>SOLUTION: The electrochemical device includes: a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte salt. The nonaqueous solvent contains a 4-fluoroalkyl-(1,3)-dioxolane-2-one in which a fluoroalkyl group is -CF<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, -CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>CF<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, or -CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>CF<SB POS="POST">2</SB>CF<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, and 5000 ppm or less of a compound expressed by a general formula (2) (where Rf is in the same way as the fluoroalkyl group) against the 4-fluoroalkyl-(1,3)-dioxolane-2-one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
