LENS BARREL AND CAMERA SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel capable of appropriately driving a focusing lens even when ambient temperature changes, and further to provide a camera system.

SOLUTION: A lens barrel includes: a mounting section capable of mounting a camera body thereto; a transmitting and receiving section capable of transmitting and receiving signals to/from the camera body; an imaging optical system that has a focusing lens; a driving section for driving the focusing lens at a driving speed in response to a driving signal received from the camera body through the transmitting and receiving section; a temperature detecting section that detects temperature of the lens barrel and outputs a temperature signal; and a controller for controlling the transmitting and receiving section such that the transmitting and receiving section transmits a maximum driving speed for a still image and a maximum driving speed for a moving image to the camera body. The controller changes the maximum driving speed for the still image and the maximum driving speed for the moving image transmitted to the camera body in response to the temperature signal output from the temperature detecting section.
