<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket for an external lamp assembly of an automobile that can be used together with an exchangeable incandescent lamp. <P>SOLUTION: A lamp socket comprises a plastic socket made of nylon 4, 6. Degassing of the lamp socket due to deterioration from optical oxidation of polymer in a plastic socket in other methods is reduced. This can help to prevent clouding of a lamp assembly lens and/or a reflector, and therefore, a performance and aesthetic appearance can be improved during a life of the lamp assembly. An incandescent lamp used in the assembly can include a pressure-sealing end on which a sleeve is mounted and the sleeve can be made of at least one of the nylon 4, 6, PEI and PPA. The incandescent lamp can have a molding plastic base, and the base can be also made of at least one of the nylon 4, 6, PEI and PPA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
