<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor driving device of a compact constitution while having a brake mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The in-wheel motor driving device 1 is constituted by storing rotary electric machinery 12 in a case member 3 nonrotatably installed to a vehicle body. The in-wheel motor driving device includes a friction brake 41 for frictionally locking a wheel side rotary system A connected to a wheel 2 for driving and a case member side rotary fixed system B relatively nonrotatably connected to the case member 3 by imparted pressing force, and a meshing mechanism 60 having a first meshing part 61 arranged in the rotary system A and a second meshing part 62 arranged in the rotary fixed system B, and the friction brake 41 and the meshing mechanism 60 are operated by an actuator 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
