<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger and a method for estimating remaining life of the heat exchanger with which time and effort required for inspecting a leakage can be omitted. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger, dummy tubes 30 are respectively provided, through insertion pipes 31, near the gas inlet side and near the gas outlet side of a heat recoverer 104, and near the gas discharge side of a re-heater 108, and a heat medium 83 is circulated through the dummy tubes 30 by means of branched pipes L<SB POS="POST">2</SB>branched from a heat medium circulation path L<SB POS="POST">1</SB>. The dummy tubes 30 are periodically extracted, and the amount of a reduction in the thickness of the dummy tubes at the surfaces thereof is inspected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
