<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for raising a vehicle seat, which enables an rotational operation to be stably performed when a seat cushion is turned to a sitting or storage attitude. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanism for raising the vehicle seat S1, which is formed in such a manner that the seat cushion 10 is switchable between the normal sitting attitude and the storage attitude of being housed while remaining tilted forward, includes: a pair of links 121 that are composed of long bodies arranged away from each other in the width direction of the seat; attachment brackets 124 that are attached to ends of the links 121 to support the seat cushion 10; a connecting member 123 that is laid between the attachment brackets 124; a pair of support mechanisms 125 that pivotably support the links 121; and a fixing member 113 that is arranged below each of the support mechanisms 125 and fixed to a vehicle body floor 2.
