<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a handset from dropping from a hanger arm even if the handset is installed in an unstable place having intense fluctuation such as a ship and a train. <P>SOLUTION: At a fluctuation end portion 17b of a hanger arm 17 that is disposed at the side of a public telephone 1 and vertically fluctuates, a receiver holder 19 on which a telephone receiver unit 18 of a handset 3 can be hung is provided. At an end portion of a fixation arm 21 fixed to the cabinet of the public telephone 1, a transmitter holding member 22 having a holding piece 27 to hold a telephone transmitter 20 of the handset 3 is attached. On the fixation arm 21, a first guide unit 21b for restricting hooking of a handset cord 13 to the transmitter holding member 22 is provided.
