The present invention relates to a method, terminal and system for measuring the asymmetric delay of a transmission link. The method includes: a slave terminal receiving a first message carrying a first timestamp and sent by a main terminal, and recording a second timestamp when receiving the first message; performing switching with the main terminal by way of an interaction message; then, receiving a second message carrying a third timestamp and sent by the main terminal, and recording a fourth timestamp when receiving the second message; and calculating the asymmetric delay of a transmission link according to the first, second, third and fourth timestamps. In the present invention, by way of synchronizing the clocks of the main and slave terminals by way of the synchronization Ethernet, recording the timestamps when receiving and sending messages by the main and slave terminals, switching the optical fibre on the link using the method of switching, resending the message after switching, and recording the timestamps of the message at the main and slave terminals, the slave terminal can rapidly calculate asymmetric delay of the transmission link according to the four timestamps acquired, and the accuracy thereof can reach the nanosecond level, simplifying the measurement process.
