PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a method of driving the display in which a processing speed of input position information is fast and which can be easily used at any scene for all users.

SOLUTION: A display device includes: a plurality of signal lines XL; and a plurality of pixels PX each of which has a pixel electrode PE and a pixel control switch and is classified to any of a plurality of pixel groups. The pixel group has: a memory; and a sensor circuit which is configured to give the memory the data of a detection signal when input information is detected. The pixel control switch switches a voltage level of the pixel electrode PE corresponding to data of a display signal input via the signal line XL and data of a detection signal input from the memory.
