<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor that prevents a vane from fixing. <P>SOLUTION: The compressor 11 includes: a hub-side wall 18; a shroud-side wall 17 facing to the hub-side wall 18 and forming a diffuser channel 16; a first vane 20 disposed on the hub-side wall 18 and switching between a lying state where the vane lies on a wall surface of the hub-side wall 18 and a standing state where the vane stands up toward the shroud-side wall 17; and a second vane 22 disposed on the shroud-side wall 17 and positioned further on a positive pressure side of the diffuser channel 16 than the first vane 20. The length of the first vane 20 is shorter than a distance between the hub-side wall 18 and the shroud-side wall 17.
