<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet device using a radio-frequency sensor for enabling accurate change-over from water discharge into water cut-off without a delay of water cut-off, in a simple construction. <P>SOLUTION: In an automatic faucet device 1 using a radio-frequency sensor 40, a water cut-off threshold value Tt is greater than a detection signal in the state of being rectified and smaller than a detection signal in the state of inserting a hand into a water stream of washing water, and directivity determining means forms a first detection range a1 along a water discharge direction A during water cut-off, and causes radio waves to interfere with the water stream W of the washing water and the water stream W of the washing water to damp or reflect the radio waves during water discharge, to form a second detection range a2 shorter in the water discharge direction A during water discharge.
