<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit pixel, a solid state image pickup device, and a unit pixel signal adding method capable of distributing photoelectrons generated by a photoelectric conversion element into four directions, reading them, and accurately removing reset noises. <P>SOLUTION: A unit pixel comprises a light receiving device having a photoelectric conversion element for detecting light and converting it to a photoelectron. The light receiving device has plural photoelectron distribution parts including a first transfer part for transferring the photoelectron generated on the photoelectric conversion element, a photoelectron holding part for temporarily holding the photoelectron generated by the photoelectronic conversion element, a second transfer part for transferring the photoelectron held by the photoelectric holding part, and a floating diffusion layer for holding the transferred photoelectron and converting the transferred photoelectron to a voltage. The unit pixel comprises a resetting transistor for resetting a potential of the floating diffusion layer to a reference potential, and a photoelectric exhausting part for exhausting the photoelectron generated on the photoelectric conversion element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
