<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions comprising scyllo-inositol derivatives and methods to treat disorders of protein aggregation. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided compositions, methods and uses comprising a scyllo-inositol compound that provide beneficial effects in the treatment of a disorder and/or disease including a disorder in protein folding and/or aggregation, and/or amyloid formation, deposition, accumulation, or persistence.
