<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a temperature rise in a housing, in an image display device in which a front surface opening portion of a housing 8 is blocked by a light permeable protection panel and an indicator 2 is stored inside of the housing 8 so as to face the protection panel. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device comprises a front surface space 11 formed between a protection panel and an indicator 2; circulating channels 3, 4, 7, and 7, formed so as to surround the front surface space 11; one or a plurality of fans 71 and 72 installed in the circulating channels 7 and 7; and a partition wall interposed between the circulating channel extending above or below the front surface space 11 and the front surface space 11.
