<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of shortening time from a time when power is supplied to a time when an IP broadcast is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver 1, which automatically conducts a setting concerning internet protocol (IP) including a setting of a DNS server address after activation and receives an IP broadcast of a specified channel through multicast communications, starts receiving an IP broadcast from an IP broadcasting server 53a via an IP network 4 by specifying a multicast address corresponding to a specified channel stored in advance, regardless of a progress status of the setting processing of the DNS server address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
