<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an antenna brach suitable for MIMO demodulation processing with a further reduced operation amount. <P>SOLUTION: A reception CN ratio and maximum branch detection unit 6 detects respective reception CN ratios based on a signal in a frequency domain of P=16 branches and also detects a branch P<SB POS="POST">max</SB>having the largest reception CN ratio. A 2×2 correlation matrix condition number calculation unit 8 generates a 2×2 channel matrix from a channel response, [h<SB POS="POST">Pmax,1</SB>h<SB POS="POST">Pmax,2</SB>], of the branch P<SB POS="POST">max</SB>having the largest reception CN ratio and a channel response, [h<SB POS="POST">p,1</SB>h<SB POS="POST">p,2</SB>], of each branch p of the rest, P-1=15, and obtains the condition number of the correlation matrix. An antenna branch selection unit 9-1 selects a branch having a reception CN ratio at or above a preset threshold value in the order from a branch having a smaller condition number, in addition to the branch P<SB POS="POST">max</SB>, and if the number of selected branches is less than M=4, selects branches having a reception CN ratio less than the threshold value in the order from a branch with a smaller condition number until the number becomes M=4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
