摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method of copper, which suppresses a temperature difference of a cast piece in the width direction and the overcooling of a surface, makes compatible the internal crack prevention and surface crack prevention of the cast piece, and can manufacture the high-quality cast piece. <P>SOLUTION: In the continuous casting method of the copper, there are used a mold 10 and a continuous casting machine 12 having a secondary cooling band 11 arranged downstream of the mold, the cast piece 13 containing 1.0 mass% or higher of Si, or 10 mass% or higher of Cr, or 0.5 mass% or higher of C is drawn out of the mold 10, and the cast piece 13 is cooled by a large number of cooling nozzles arranged at the secondary cooling band 11.
