<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display summary sentences of groups of sentences included in a text in time series order, without presetting time series information for each of the groups of sentences included in the text. <P>SOLUTION: A time series information generation device comprises division means, determination means, generation means and display means. The division means divides a display target electronic document into one or more groups of sentences. The determination means determines a summary sentence of each divided group of sentences among sentences included in the divided group of sentences. The generation means generates time series information indicating correlative time information between any one of the divided groups of sentences and the other groups of sentences.
