<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carotenoid-containing composition with excellent storage stability and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The carotenoid-containing composition contains carotenoids, at least one selected from the group consisting of ascorbic acid and derivatives thereof as well as salts of the same, and an emulsifier, wherein the content of the at least one selected from ascorbic acid and derivatives thereof is an amount, in terms of the number of moles of ascorbic acid, within a range of 30 to 190 times the total number of moles of the carotenoids, and pH is within a range of 6.5 to 9.0.
