<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow spray behavior of fuel in a cylinder injection type internal combustion engine to be properly controlled, and to allow wet quantity in the cylinder (quantity of fuel adhered to a top surface of a piston, an inner wall surface of the cylinder, or the like) to be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A crank angle where a piston position is a reference position (a position of a cylinder volume where a tumble flow can be formed) is set as reference timing θb. When injection timing of a fuel injection valve 15 is at an advance side with respect to the reference timing θb, an air current control valve 26 is controlled such that an upstream intake passage 24 is closed and a downstream intake passage 25 is opened, so that a reverse tumble flow (an air current from an intake port 12 toward a piston 28) is formed, and fuel supply is controlled to a central direction in the cylinder with the reverse tumble flow. Meanwhile, when injection timing of the fuel injection valve 15 is at a lag side with respect to the reference timing θb, the air current control valve 26 is controlled such that the downstream intake passage 25 is closed and the upstream intake passage 24 is opened, so that a tumble flow is formed, and fuel supply is controlled to the central direction in the cylinder with the tumble flow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
