<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain faucet operation device capable of preventing water from entering a thrust lock mechanism so as to prevent the thrust lock mechanism from being defective in operation. <P>SOLUTION: A drain faucet operation device 12 includes: a transmission shaft part 36B which penetrates an upper opening 28C of a cylindrical casing 34 to move up and down; an operation button 24 which is connected to an upper part of the transmission shaft part 36B; a cylindrical shaft tube part 36A which is stored in the casing 34 and transmits up/down movements of the transmission shaft part 36B to an inner wire; and a thrust lock mechanism 34 which is arranged between the casing 34 and shaft tube part 36A, and holds the transmission shaft part 36B and shaft tube part 36A at predetermined positions respectively when the transmission shaft part 36B and shaft tube part 36A move up or down in the casing 34.
