METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SPECTACLE LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for adjusting prism operation without impairing the exterior appearance of a spectacle lens.

SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a spectacle lens includes steps for: cutting off part of at least one surface of a spectacle lens by mechanical machining and subjecting the spectacle lens to slab-off processing for adjusting the prism operation; and then polishing a surface of the cut-off region where the polishing processing is performed while covering a surface of a polishing tool formed of an elastic material with a polishing pad by moving the spectacle lens and a polishing tool relatively to each other while feeding a polishing agent between a surface of the polishing pad and the surface of the cut-off region.
