<p>Disclosed are a consumable chip, a data read/write method thereof and a consumable container using the consumable chip. The consumable chip includes an interface unit (41), a control unit, a non-volatile memory (43), a volatile memory (44), a power down detection unit (49) and a power supply unit. A plurality of first storage units are provided in the non-volatile memory (43), and a plurality of second storage units are provided in the volatile memory (44), with the second storage units being in a one to one correspondence with at least a part of the first storage units. A state register (62) is provided in the control unit. The method includes: when judging a printer is reading the data in the first storage unit, the consumable chip judging whether there is data stored in the corresponding second storage unit; if there is, then sending out the data stored in the second storage unit, and if there is not, then sending out the data stored in the first storage unit. The consumable chip can shorten the data writing time, reduce power energy loss and prolong the service life.</p> |
