<p>The optical force sensor has a plate with a loading surface (21), where a force to be measured is applied through proper operation of the force sensor. Another plate is provided on which the former plate is supported by spring bearing. The two plates are arranged at a distance from each other. The distance is reduced upon application of the force to be measured to the loading surface. The distance is increased upon application of the force to be measured to the loading surface.</p>
