Provided are a wavelength distribution method, optical network unit and optical network system in an optical communication system, relating to the field of communications and capable of setting the operating wavelength for the optical module according to the service provider information and simplifying the wavelength distribution flow. The method includes: presetting a wavelength distribution list on an optical network unit, and obtaining the wavelength information corresponding to a service provider where the optical network unit is located by way of the wavelength distribution list according to the service provider where the optical network unit is located; and sending or receiving an optical signal according to the obtained wavelength information corresponding to the service provider where the optical network unit is located, simplifying the wavelength distribution flow, and improving the quality of service and user experience.
