An apparatus for removing oil from the sea is disclosed. The apparatus includes a main body (20) and an oil removal unit (40). The main body is connected to a barge (1). The main body floats on the sea and is movable. The oil removal unit is installed on the main body and functions to remove oil from the sea. The oil removal unit includes a rotary mill (41) which is rotatably provided on the main body, and mops (50) which are provided on the circumferential outer surface of the rotary mill. The mops function to absorb oil from the sea. Therefore, the oil removal apparatus can rapidly and effectively remove spilled oil from the sea.
