PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having excellent durability in which chromaticity deviation is small during high-temperature storage.

SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element comprises a substrate, a pair of electrodes including a positive electrode and a negative electrode arranged on the substrate, and an organic layer arranged between the electrodes and containing a phosphorescent material and a compound represented by a following formula (X101represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R101-R110represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group (excepting an alkyl radical and a cyano group), a plurality of R108-R110may be identical or different from each other. L101represents a single bond or an arylene group).
