<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle and a vehicle control program that can make an occupant surely understand timing when a travel route selected based on the instruction of the occupant and the travel route selected while automatically traveling the vehicle to the direction directed by the occupant. <P>SOLUTION: A traveling control apparatus 100 determines the direction which an occupant desires to progress the vehicle 1 from the tilting direction of an operation lever 13a of a joy stick device 13 that is performed tilt operation by the occupant, and sets the traveling track to progress the vehicle 1. Then right after the traveling track is set, the operation lever 13a is tilted and the tilt direction is made the direction which the vehicle 1 progresses by the set traveling track.
