METHOD FOR FORMING PIXEL PATTERN, COLOR FILTER, AND DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a pixel pattern for significantly expressing superior chromaticity characteristics of dye and lake pigment when the dye and the lake pigment are used as colorants.

SOLUTION: The method for forming a pixel pattern includes steps for: (1) forming on a substrate, a coating film of a colored radiation-sensitive composition including at least one type selected from a group consisting of dye and lake pigment; and (2) applying radiation to at least one part of the coating film. The spectral distribution of the radiation includes a plurality of peaks within a range of 350 nm to 450 nm, and the maximum strength of the radiation of less than 350 nm is 50% or less than the maximum peak strength within the range of 350 nm to 450 nm.
