<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication module capable of reducing power consumption in an electronic unit. <P>SOLUTION: A communication module includes: a communication section 51; and a control section (communication control section 52) determining handling of data received by the communication section from an external unit, based on a power state of a connected host unit and/or a type of the received data.
