METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MAKING MOBILE TERMINAL ENTER STANDBY

Disclosed is a method for making a mobile terminal enter standby, including: obtaining the screen standby duration corresponding to the currently running program of a mobile terminal, wherein the screen standby duration corresponding to each program in the mobile terminal is preset; when a user stops the operation of the mobile terminal, starting a timer; and when the timing duration of the timer reaches the screen standby duration, entering a screen standby state. Also proposed is a corresponding device. The method and device for making a mobile terminal enter standby provided in the present invention can flexibly set the screen standby duration of each program in the mobile terminal, and enter screen standby intelligently according to the currently running program of the mobile terminal. The present invention takes full account of user experience, and improves user experience to a great extent while saving power for the terminal.
