<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a broadcast signal which can be accurately demodulated in a direct conversion type receiving apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The transmitting apparatus comprises: a modulation part which modulates information to be transmitted to generate a modulation signal; a setting part which sets a frequency of a notch which is provided for an RF signal according to characteristics of a receiving apparatus that is a transmission object of the RF signal; and a transmitting part which transmits the modulation signal as the RF signal while the notch is provided according to the set frequency. This disclosure can be applied to, for example, a transmitting apparatus which transmits a broadcast signal compliant to DVB-C2 via a CATV network using a direct conversion type receiving apparatus as an object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
