<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proofreading apparatus, a proofreading method and a program which enable significant improvement of working efficiency as compared with the case of comparing two images by the page. <P>SOLUTION: Among from common page areas Rp having a size common to at least two pages, regions of interest 112 are specified.
