This invention relates to a paper clip for releasably securing paper together having folded sheet metal defining a base and two spaced arms connected together by a first spring system and a cam member comprising sheet metal and having a deformable cam surface defining a second spring system operably connected to the two spaced arms for rotational movement between: an open position for insertion of the sheets between the base and deformable cam surface; and a closed position where rotation of the cam member rotates the deformable surface to releasably secure the sheets together between the deformable cam surface and base. The invention also relates to a paper clip having three spring systems and a method of releasably securing paper together.
