<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated carrier for an electrophotographic developer, in which carrier deposition is prevented while reduction in weight of the carrier is achieved, and the carrier particles have high fracture strength and show stabilized charging characteristics in long-term printing, and to provide an electrophotographic developer using the resin-coated carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The resin-coated carrier for an electrophotographic developer includes a coating resin layer on a surface of a porous ferrite core material, in which the porous ferrite core material has a pore volume of 55 to 160 mm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>/g and a peak pore diameter of 0.2 to 0.7 μm.
