NON-COATED PAPER FOR PRINTING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-coated paper for printing with sufficient surface strength and internal surface strength which suppresses the generation of paper powder in the printing process and the abrasion with a printing plate and maintains paper quality even in a paper with a high ash content.

SOLUTION: A non-coated paper for printing comprises a starch-based polymer that is coated on a base paper. The non-coated paper has a basis weight of 43 g/m2or more. The starch-based polymer has a viscosity of 3000 mPa s or less after 16 minute steaming when steaming a starch-based polymer slurry having a solid concentration of 35 wt.% by means of Rapid Visco Analyzer (RVA) in the following condition: elevating a temperature to 98°C for 0-5 min; keeping at 98°C for 5-9 min; decreasing to 50°C for 9-12 min; and keeping at 50°C for 12-16 min.
