<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sublimation purification method of a host material capable of providing in high yield a host material of little halogen impurities capable of providing an organic electroluminescent element excellent in durability, a host material purified by the sublimation purification method of the host material, an organic electroluminescent element using the host material, a light-emitting device using the organic electroluminescent element, a display device, and an illumination device. <P>SOLUTION: The sublimation purification method of the host material which forms a light-emitting layer of an organic electroluminescent element comprises a process of sublimation purification by mixing the host material, containing an impurity containing at least one kind of halogen element selected from a group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine, an alkaline inorganic absorption material selected from a group consisting of an oxide of group 2 elements and a carbonate of group 2 elements, and a non-alkaline inorganic absorption material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
