<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing machine components having low strain as the whole body and high surface strength with which in the method for manufacturing the machine components, applied to a surface-hardening treatment, carburization and the induction-hardening can be applied at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: The steel having an alloy composition composed by mass% of 0.10-0.30% C, 0.50-3.00% Si, 0.30-3.00% Mn, ≤0.030% P, ≤0.030% S, 0.01-1.00% Cu, 0.01-3.00% Ni, 0.20-1.00% Cr, ≤0.20% Al, ≤0.05% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and satisfied with a condition of [%Si]+[Ni%]+[Cu%]-[Cr%] >0.50, is used as the material for machine components. The steel is machined into the shape of the components and slowly cooled after applying a vacuum-carburizing treatment, and successively, the surface is hardened by the induction-hardening which is heated to 760-900°C, and after holding in the range of the temperature, the water-cooling is applied, so that the machine components are obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
