<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing cover glass for electronic devices, which can perform direct printing on the surface of a chemically tempered glass substrate for a cover glass, and can prevent production of a flaw in the glass substrate during printing. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing cover glass that is used for electronic devices includes a printing step for performing printing on the surface of a glass substrate 1 for the cover glass, and also has a step for forming a protective film 2 on the entire surface of the glass substrate 1 for the cover glass and a step for modifying the surface of the protective film 2 corresponding to at least the region to be printed on in order to enable printing, prior to the printing step.
