<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple means which avoids a support column from being inclined to a shelf plate when forming a metal-made shelf by fixing four corners of the shelf plate to the inside face of the support column by using the shelf plate which is formed into a right-angle square shallow-depth box by bending a metal plate and the support column formed into an angular shape by bending the metal plate. <P>SOLUTION: The shelf is constituted in such a manner that: a notch insertable with a protrusion is formed at the side face of the shelf plate contacting with the support column; the protrusion of the support column is inserted into the notch of the shelf plate when assembling the shelf; the upper end edge of the notch is made to tightly contact with the upper end edge of the protrusion; two hang-down edges which are positioned at both sides of the upper side edge of the notch and extend downward are made to tightly contact with two descending edges which extend downward of the protrusion, and the shelf is formed by making the corners of the shelf plate abut on the inside face of the support column.
