ADJUSTING METHOD FOR IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE, AND IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely perform back-focus adjustment of a WLC (Wafer Level Camera) image pickup device.

SOLUTION: An auxiliary lens 5 including a front lens element 5A and a rear lens element 5B is disposed in a WLC unit in which a lens and an image pickup element are integrally retained by a WLC method. The front lens element 5A or the rear lens element 5B of the auxiliary lens 5 is moved in an optical axis direction to perform the back-focus adjustment. A gap adjustment member 10 disposed between the front lens element 5A and the rear lens element 5B is deformed so as to make the front lens element 5A or the rear lens element 5B movable in the optical axis direction.
