The fuel cell assembly (1) has fuel cell stack which is coextensive with reforming unit (4) between the anode inlet gas cap (5) and the anode exit gas hood. An anode inlet-side fuel inlet (4a) of the reforming unit is provided for supplying fuel from partially hollow frame (7) of anode inlet gas cap to fluid outlets.
